This fourth of four draft narrative chronologies shares selected content from audio tapes are recorded and mailed to my family in Massachusetts about my work and life in the Northern Mariana Islands from September, 1978 through February, 1979. Unfortunately. Only five usable audio tapes survived from those three months, September, October and February.
There are none between March and August and I found only one audio tape, 1982 for the following four years that I worked in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. It is extremely unlikely. Those years of missing audio tapes still exist. The accompanying draft transcript available in the KPV collection website, section KN four, identify the date each tape was made, if known, and the audio tape number in the KPV collection.
