In Memory of Jose "Ping" Limes

​We received word of Ping's death via email from Wayne Hill on the 24th of January, where he shared the news and memories of Ping as well:

Dear Ganks,
 
It's with the heaviest of hearts that I have to tell you that our wonderful friend Ping, Jose Tilipao Limes, has left this world.  I have few details except that he apparently passed away in his sleep and was found by his grandson this morning (January 23) when he didn't respond to calls from outside his door. We can take solace that he didn't suffer long.  For those who attended our 2001 reunion in Philadelphia, we remember than he ended up hospitalized due to exhaustion and we feared the worst back then, but he managed to hang in there for nearly two more decades.
 
I'm especially gratified that Ping and Lino were able to come to Santa Fe for our 2017 Reunion.  They made it so special, and I will always smile when i remember our totally hysterical song and dance fest in carol's living room that Friday night, "The Night of the Fifty-year-old Grass Skirt"!
 
We will always remember Ping in out hearts...
